OUR WINEMAKER

Paul Paumel of Chateau du Mourre

The Paumel family has always distanced itself from conventional viticulture. Jacques Paumel of Chateau du Mourre is a pioneer in going against conventional practices. Our values: respect for the land, search for balance and strive for elegance in our winemaking. The castle favours the mechanical work of the soil. It sits on soils of great diversity with a dominant limestone structure with different types of clays and sands (in Châteauneuf-du-Pape). This brings great complexity, elegance and finesse in the wines.
