A SUSTAINABLE VISION
Brown Bag Wines was founded with one overarching vision: to bring sustainable wines to the dinner tables of Singapore, where laughter, stories and memories are shared. As we continue to follow this mission, we’ve adopted a holistic approach towards sustainability throughout our business.
We only partner with winemakers who share our vision. Whether in Europe, Australia or elsewhere, all the producers we work with are committed to sustainable practices in the vineyards, cellars and beyond.
They often obtain organic or biodynamic certification or are members of regional sustainability groups. We have personally met with each of our winemakers to understand their winemaking philosophies, from environmental to social and economic responsibility.
By supporting independent winemakers, you’ll be helping to ensure that they are able to continue making delicious, sustainable wines.
Our vision guides all arms of our business, from reducing carbon emissions by working closely with our logistics team when importing and hand-delivering our wines. All the packing we use is carefully selected to reduce environmental impact, and is repurposed after each delivery. We ensure the same care is taken when delivering wines to you as was given to the grapes in the vineyard.
As part of our continuing commitment to sustainability, we look to work with Singaporean companies who hold the same values as us. You’ll find us championing the work of Singaporean charities close to our hearts, promoting local sustainable beer and clothing companies, and working closely with creative industries re-purposing our waste products.
