"Biodynamics is an extraordinary tool for quality, which respects the entire cultural agricultural environment, a true sustainable agriculture.” – Véronique Cochran, Château Falfas.
Château Falfas is located on the southern slopes of the right bank of the Gironde, in a region nicknamed “little Switzerland of the Gironde”. With fantastic clay-limestone soils that allow merlot, cabernet and malbec grapes to flourish, Véronique creates wines with a keen minerality and freshness.
The mild climate in the region allows the grapes to reach their full maturity under ideal conditions. Limited yields, manual harvests, selection of grapes at the peak of their maturity, long and careful vinification with indigenous yeasts and ageing in French oak barrels are all part of the arsenal of techniques Véronique employs to guarantee delicious, expressive wines.
The wines from Falfas are certified biodynamic, which allows Veronique to create a true reflection of the terroir in her wines, without artificial additives or chemicals. You’ll find a collection of rich, generous wines that are worth sharing.
